Sweating for Health
One of the key elements to health is sweating. We spend a lot of time and money trying NOT to sweat, yet this is one of the most important things we can do to be naturally healthy.
While we may not want to sweat in our normal everyday activities of work or school, we do want to make sure we make time in our life to sweat. A workout is a good way to sweat, so if you are already doing that you are doing something great for your health besides exercise.
Of course, a hard workout is a good way to get our sweat in, but there are other good ways to sweat. Hot yoga is a low impact way to sweat. A sauna is a GREAT way to sweat without too much movement as is a hot bath or shower. You can choose to wrap up in a sheet after the hot bath and sweat for about 20 min under some blankets.
The purpose of sweating is to remove toxins through the bodies natural process of elimination through the skin. We don't use this elimination route nearly enough on a regular basis. But we need to because we often eat a poor diet, we are dehydrated, we don't breathe deeply, we don't sweat enough, we don't relax enough, and we have poor elimination which increases our reabsorption of toxins from our diet and environment.
